WINDSURFING is fun, exhilarating, and EASY TO LEARN.

Whitecap provides US Sailing certified beginner-level instruction to a small group of students, numbering no more than five per session.

SUCCEED IN ONE 5 to 6 HOUR LESSON!

Whitecap uses US Sailing's certified instruction program on specialized equipment such as a rotating land simulator, anchored tethers in the water, and special training boards and sails.

Safety, equipment, rigging, and weather is covered. Students will leave the lesson knowing how to uphaul, sail, steer, and turn a sailboard.

EVERYONE CAN LEARN TO WINDSURF! Revolutionary changes in instructional methods and teaching equipment have made the sport accessable for all: men or women, adolescent to old-age, thin, and, uh, not thin. Extreme athleticism is not required! Light women usually learn quicker than the muscular males.

Groups are usually 2 or 3, never more than 5. Individual attention is assured.

LEARN RIGHT HERE ON YOUR LAKE. Lessons are most often offered at Whitecap's home lake, Clark Hill near Augusta, but also at other areas lakes from the Atlanta area to the nearby SC & GA coast.

Our area lakes are great places to sail regularly after you learn. Become part of the local surfing tribe!

Lessons are offered on most warm-weather weekends from mid-April to September. Requests for weekday lessons can usually be accommodated.

Lessons usually last between 5 to 6 hours, so you may want to bring a lunch and snacks.

A positive, can-do attitude and decent swimming ability.

Individual (single person) lessons are also available by appointment at $25/hr.

Please, it is not about upper body strength (by the way...women are the best students!). If you can ride a bike and throw a ball, you can do this!!!
